Trinh T. Minh-ha

Trinh T. Minh-ha – Vietnamese film director, writer, literary theorist, composer and academic professor. As one of the so-called boat people – Vietnamese refugees who fled the country by sea – she emigrated to the US in 1970. Her films address Vietnamese heritage on emigration and, more broadly, questions of postcolonialism, women’s political situations, autobiography and relations between documentary and fiction. Since 1994, lecturer in Gender & Women Studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
