Aleksandra Polisiewicz

Aleksandra Polisiewicz – artist and performer, active under the moniker Aleka Polis. Graduate of the Institute of Art at the University of Silesia in Cieszyn, Poland, currently a PhD candidate at the University of the Arts in Poznań. Polis works in the media of video and photography; she also creates animations and documentary films. Her projects often deliver a radical feminist, queer and leftist response to broadly understood systems of control and power. Cofounder of the Syreny TV collective, along with Ewa Majewska.
