Jadwiga Sawicka

Jadwiga Sawicka – painter, photographer, who also creates installations and projects in public space. Graduate in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków, professor at the University of Rzeszów. Honored with the Jan Cybis Award (2013) and the Katarzyna Kobro Award (2016). Since the end of the 1990s, her paintings have been characterized by a particular and subversive use of language, featuring single words or familiar linguistic clichés.
