Filipa César
born 1975
Filipa César – filmmaker and video-installation artist. Graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and the Berlin University of the Arts. Since 2011, her work has revolved mainly around the roots of cinematography in Guinea-Bissau within the collective project Luta ca caba inda (The struggle is not over yet). Her works have been exhibited at the Eighth Istanbul Biennial (2003), Manifesta 8 in Cartagena, New York City’s Museum of Modern Art, Jeu de Paume in Paris and London’s Tate Modern.
